Phone (2a)

I'm more than happy with the phone, it works great and it feels not so big in the hand, great work!

I'm super happy with the nothing phone so far, the design is beautiful, it works excellent. It is a lot of fun to use, display looks amazing!
All though I'm a fan of smaller phones, witch nowadays is hard to find, but I can tell, I would buy it again. My boyfriend wants it now also for his birthday.
Also the customer service works super nice, I had trouble with the sending and they responded quickly, charming and everything got solved easily and fast. Thanks for that!

Phone is beatiful, just upgrade from a One+ 6.
One of the last phones with Carl Pei still there.

I dont give 5 stars, due to some screen glitches during internet video playing.
I Hope these Will be solved with software upgrade.

For context, I upgraded to the Phone (2a) from the Xiaomi Mi A2 (cool) with the Derpfest custom ROM a month ago.
While the hardware and performance all seem pretty good (and a needed upgrade), the software is a little lacking in features. For example:
the two-button nav bar with the pill and the back button does not exist (only the three-button navigation and the immersive navigation), the auto-adjusting brightness does not adapt to user preference, I'm still in the March 2024 security update after rebooting twice now,
the on-screen fingerprint reader is slow and usually fails, and some other stuff I forgot was non-important.

Another personal thing I didn't like the day I got the 2a is that there aren't any simple ringtones; it's all "techno", "beeps", "motor buzz", etc., like it needs to be futuristic and minimalistic,
but I don't hate it because these default ringtones work well with the glyph interface,
whose brightness is ok—maybe not low enough in the dark, but that's just me.

Now, some good stuff about the phone I like, for example:
the default launcher is pretty good, and the widgets are also good,
the camera and app are also to my liking; the image stabilization is incredible compared to my old phone, and you can even use the glyph interface for smooth lighting (pretty cool),
there is a quick way to turn on the flashlight with a double tap on the power button (customizable for other actions),
but I would like it even more if they added a long press on the power button while the screen is off for additional actions, the vibration motor is strong; the sound is also pretty cool with the stereo earpiece, and I'm sure there is more, but I can't remember.
